Water Treatment

At Quality Water Services, we always start by conducting a water analysis to assess the quality of your water. Once the analysis is complete, our technical team of water experts will create a custom water treatment plan for you. Based on your needs, this plan may include some of the water conditioning, iron filtration or a reverse osmosis/filtration system that we showcase below.

We spend the time with each of our customers to ensure that our solution meets your needs and is efficiently installed by one of our friendly water technicians.

Water Conditioning

Ultimate Conditioning System

  • Water  softeners with Fleck 9100SXT control valve offer twin alternating meter initiated operation, resulting in 24/7 soft water capability.

  • Salt and water savings by using 100% capacity of tank in service, before switching to 2nd tank.

  • Regenerates immediately when needed for continuous soft water

  • Proven technology and performance

Water Softeners

User friendly Fleck 5800SXT controls with models for capacities to 60,000 grains and top quality components

Benefits:

  • Spot free glassware & dishes

  • No mineral deposits on bathtubs & showers

  • Brighter, softer laundry

  • Dramatic reduction in soap usage

  • Installing a water softener will help to remove: hardness, calcium and magnesium from your water.

Water Softener / Carbon Filter Combo

  • Combines two technologies in one single tank

  • Activated carbon to reduce chloramines, chlorine, taste, odors and extends ion-exchange life

  • Ion-exchange resin to remove calcium, magnesium, iron and hardness

Multi Media Tannin (colour) Removal System

This unit contains a media bed that has both anion and cation resins.  The anion resin removes color caused by organic compounds found in some water supplies.  Organic compounds known as tannins are decayed animal and vegetable matter which discolor the water and cause it to stain almost everything it comes into contact with.

The cation resin allows it to also soften the water without adding 2nd unit.  The unit is regenerated like a standard water softener with salt brine to release the trapped organic color compounds and hardness minerals.

Installing a multi media tannin removal system will help to remove: colour, total dissolved solids, sulfates, turbidity and iron from your water.

Activated Carbon Filtration

A carbon filter will correct a wide range of water quality problems by removing chlorine, tastes, odors and sediment.

Iron Filtration

Potassium Permanganate System

Installing a potassium permanganate system will help to remove: iron, manganese, and hydrogen sulfide from your water.  This eliminates ugly staining and unpleasant tastes and odors.

Chemical Free Iron Filter

The 5800AIO chemical free iron filter is intended to be an effective and economical way to remove iron from water without messy or dangerous chemicals, expensive pumps or an external air charger.  The 5800AIO valve creates an air bubble, with combines with the incoming water and oxides the iron.  The media then filters the oxidized iron particles from the water as the water passes through it.  Regular back-washing replenishes the supply of oxygen and cleans the trapped iron from the bed.

Liquid Chlorine System / Hydrogen Peroxide System

Installing a liquid chlorine system / hydrogen peroxide system will help to remove: iron and iron staining, smell, bad tasting water, algae, coliform bacteria, e-coli bacteria and manganese from your water.

Mobile Shock Chlorination

Iron bacteria are a common nuisance in water wells, but are not considered a health hazard.  Iron bacteria found in water supplies is a reddish-brown and sometimes blackish slime that adheres to the inside of the toilet tank.  In an advanced state, it can plug water piping and equipment creating restricted water flow.  Iron bacteria is a living micro organism that feeds on the iron in the water.

The shock chlorination of the well is a procedure recommended by the Alberta Department of Agriculture and is generally done during the spring and fall.
